Therefore, he/she will have a leadership position and will act with complete autonomy. Under him/her will be residents and licensed medical registrars. Off-site guards He/she will have to supervise all decisions made by his/her team and will report to the hospital's clinical director - Registrars: The successful candidate will work as an important part of the multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Consultant. He/she will be responsible for front-line care for a wide range of patients. He/she will also be responsible for junior staff, in this case he/she will report to the consulting physician. On-site guards.
How the department works:
The team consists of the Oncology Consultant/s who work in collaboration with the Oncology Registrars, SHO's and interns in formulating management plans for patients.
Benefits:
- Initial contract of 6 months up to 2 years( only for consultant positions) with a possibility of extension after that.
- Approximate net monthly salary of 11K net/month after tax and pension deductions for Consultant positions. Could have the possibility to earn more money through private patients attending the hospital. Typical long term Consultants can earn up to (approximately 310.000€ gross/year).
- Approximate net monthly salary for registrar: 5,5K
- 31 working days per Year holidays + public holidays (there is 10 in a year).
- 7 study days leave per year to attend conferences or further education for Consultants and registrars.
- Up to 3000€ for educational funding for Consultants.
- Lucrative pension scheme included of aprox. 1000€/month. If the doctor leaves Ireland in less than 2 years he can claim the lump sum back to his account (max. of aprox. 24,000€) if not he will get a pension when he reaches retirement age.
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Should be a Specialist in ONCOLOGY inside the European Union or alternatively should have validated his/her training inside a country of the European Union and should have been practicing in this specialty for at least 3 years as from the point it was recognised in the country.
2. Have a very good command of written and spoken English.
3. It would be advisable, although not essential, that the doctor could have an interest in one or more of the following areas: respiratory medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, acute medicine or geriatrics.
4. Any experience in an English speaking country (UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA or even countries in the Middle East as could be UAE, Saudi Arabia and/or Qatar) would be very much appreciated.
5. Good motivation to go to Ireland to work as a doctor this year.

7. Ability to communicate effectively. High level of english-B2/C1
